A set of seven lesson starters based around orthographic drawing. These are supported by YouTube clips of about five minutes. Use these to introduce Orthographic Drawing principles, as standalone starters or as part of a graphics project. These are three to an A4 sheet, they are great for settling a class quickly and moving on to a main part of a lesson. Ergonomics For GCSE D&T A pack of resources covering Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE Design & Technology. This consists of two A3 worksheets and an A5 learning check which can be completed later to check and consolidate learning. The worksheets are supported by two clips on my Youtube channel which show the important Ergonomic features of two example Products toothbrushes and Barbeque tools. These sheets could be used as a two lesson mini project to introduce Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE. This is a drawing exercise for students to create an exploded drawing of clock and mechanism. This resource consists of two A3 drawing sheets. One has a isometric drawing grid, whist one is plain. There is also a further A4 sheet of instructions and keywords to further support learning. This could be used as a stand alone lesson, as part of a Design and Technology or Engineering scheme of learning. This could also be set as a home learning task by utilising the YouTube clips as step by step tutorial. An A3 worksheet on the topic of computer game design. This sheet would support a lesson in Design and Technology or Art subject areas. This would make an ideal lesson as part of a computer game design project, or as a standalone or cover lesson. The object of the lesson is to design a monster character for a space themed computer game. The student’s are prompted on the sheet to consider the features of the monster that will make the game more interesting and enjoyable to play. There is also a link on the sheet to possible career paths for game design included in the sheet which could promote classroom discussion or be utilised prior to the end of KS3 options.
